One of my closest collaborators is a musical project currently under the moniker, Fraydee Cat. For years I've been trusted to create their visual identity from album art to t-shirts and other promotional ephemera. Prior to the recording and release of their debut LP, I volunteered to join them on a tour to document the performance style and music in order to inform the look of all the designed materials.
The journey took me from Los Angeles, Joshua Tree, Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Flagstaff. The resulting designs are a result of inside jokes along the way, the ever-evolving performance production, and all the striking imagery and music I was able to replicate and represent with both illustration and film-based photography.
